Mobile Social Networking Blogging
As a showcase for potential clients, Accenture has chosen to develop a demo application for social networking with blog features added to a map using NAVTEQ maps, the NAVTEQ MapTP AJAX API (application programming interface), and the NAVTEQ MapTP Component Interface for Symbian S60. The application allows users to create blogs, and to show these blogs at the chosen position on the map via a mobile device or the Internet.
The demo application with full documented source code has been provided compliments of Accenture.

Want to try it out? Start the Web client and publish your own blogs on the map, or read the blogs that have been published by others.
Run the Accenture Mobile Social Networking Demo Application. The material is provided compliments of Accenture for free to NN4D developers.
You can post micro-blogs on the map as follows:
- Zoom in over a place for which you want to create a blog. You can either drag a zoom rectangle over the desired map region, or enter address data in the search field that is located above the map and press the "Go" button. The map will be zoomed to the specified address.
- Right-click on the map at the position where you want to create the blog. A context menu opens.
- Choose "Create blog". A new window opens that contains a form for creating a blog.
- Select the category of the blog in the Category field.
- In the name field type in a name of the blog.
- Write a short blog text in the text field. This should not be longer than two or three sentences.
- Select an image. Note: The image should not be larger than 240x240 pixels. Otherwise, the image would be too large for showing the blog on the mobile client.
