We use data extraction formats to "publish" NAVTEQ data externally to our customers, enabling them to process map data into their own production environment. These extraction formats generally have a design that is independent of the internal production environment, and are not impacted when we modify parts of the production environment.
Some extraction formats are defined by standard committees and act as industry standards, while others are internally defined. We offer the following extraction formats:
