Advanced Capabilities to Improve Collection Efficiency

NAVTEQ True leverages best-in-class technology in four key sensor systems:

  • Positioning sensors, such as GPS and IMU, ensure that all data collected is accurately geo-referenced
  • High-Resolution Multi-View Cameras capture detail that can be used by automatic processing software or by geographic analysts for manual processing
  • Panoramic Cameras provide the ability to capture a 360-degree picture of a location for additional context and to support the production of street level imagery products
  • 360-Degree LIDAR collects 1.3M 3D digital data points every second—creating new scale in what we collect – and richness in content collected
