VisioDevKit - SDK Overview
VisioDevKit enables developers to easily create or enhance an existing application with NAVTEQ's 3D data. It integrates Munich sample data of NAVTEQ Enhanced 3D City Models as well as a sample of NAVTEQ Destination Maps, an indoor map of Newport Centre, Jersey City (NJ), USA. This allows you to discover how easy it is to create a compelling application and to differentiate from current market offerings.

Visioglobe's technology is comprised of two parts:
- Pre-processing tools for incorporating large amounts of data
Visioglobe enables the use of 3D by using advanced compression and pre-processing of data for on-board and/or off-board usage. Visioglobe's flexible workflow can integrate data from many cartographic and geographic sources. The SDK integrates Enhanced 3D City Models and Destination Maps samples from NAVTEQ in a pre-processed binary format.
- Real-time 3D engine (VisioDevKit)
Visioglobe provides an immersive 3D geographical and urban visualization engine. Combined with NAVTEQ 3D content, this enables a rich and intuitive 3D navigation experience. It is now possible to navigate in real-time with an excellent image quality and fluidity, while retaining the possibility to add virtual objects or other services from NAVTEQ or partners, for example, routing and location-based ads. Furthermore, you can visualize 2D indoor maps with sophisticated rendering to differentiate yourself from the competition.
