NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns is a database of typical average traffic speeds on all roads in selected areas. NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns is integrated with the NAVTEQ® map on navigation-capable devices and allows for predictive route planning and arrival times based on historical references.
This product is derived from billions of multiple-year, vehicle speed observations, including probe data records.
Traffic Patterns Features and Format
- NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns is available in a relational format for 15-minute or 60-minute data intervals for every day or combination of days of the week.
- A Holiday Appendix is included, providing guidance for those unusual traffic days.
- Referenced to TMC codes and Link IDs.
- Referenced to local time.
- Speed values in both KMPH and MPH to 1 KMPH/MPH increments.
- Available as a look-aside table in CSV format.
