Try MapTP Web Services for 30 Days

You can sign up for a 30 days evaluation to try the MapTP Web Services. You will receive a MapTP ID that you can use within your own Web services clients. You can also use this MapTP ID to experience all services on the MapTP Web Service demo site. The demo site shows example requests for all services, lets you execute the requests, and shows the result in a map.

Note: A NN4D membership is required to obtain a MapTP ID

In addition to the MapTP ID you can also create an Application Key for the MapTP AJAX API. The MapTP AJAX API gives you an easy and powerful way for incorporating mapping functionality into your Web application with JavaScript.

MapTP Web Services

The MapTP Web Services Evaluation makes the Web services listed below available to registered users. For other services please contact MapTP sales.

MapTP Geocoder 5.1 Service: Assign a location (a latitude and longitude coordinate) to a given street address. MapTP Geocoder 5.1 supports free and qualified search.

MapTP Routing Service: Calculate a route between two locations.

MapTP MGI Service: Service for rendering raster maps (bitmaps).

MapTP ReverseGeocoder Service: Find map specific data based on a given location on a map.

MapTP MRC Service: Remote control interfaces are designed to provide a common interface for “remote controlling” mapping clients and for data integration (“push data”). Some example commands are: Change the view of the map, display a geometric shape such as a polygon, display an icon or label on the map to mark a location, define custom behavior for map objects using a digitizer, and many others.

MapTP Location Service: The location service allows searching for locations such as restaurants, gas stations, public transportation, and others in proximity to a specified coordinate.

Available Regions and Maps

A MapTP ID is bound to a region and to certain map data. During registration you will be asked to choose between one of the following available regions:

  • Australia & New Zealand
  • Europe
  • Middle East
  • North America
  • South America

NAVTEQ always lets you use the best possible map data for the chosen region. This map data can be the data of one map data provider or of a combination of map data providers.

Usage

MapTP Web Services Evaluation users are allowed to execute 10,000 transactions or to start 10,000 sessions within the 30 days evaluation period. A session means the authentication of an application with the MapTP ID or the launch of one JavaScript application. A transaction is counted but not limited to every geocode, routing, or local search request.
