MapTP Administration for Web Services Access
After registering for a 30 days MapTP Web Services Evaluation your next step should be to go to the MapTP Administration area. There you can view important information about your contract.
MapTP Administration lets you view the following:
- Your MapTP ID. This ID is required for any MapTP Web Services request and for the MapTP Web Services demo pages.
- The server URL (also called MapTP system) to the MapTP Web Services.
In addition, you can create an application key in order to use the MapTP AJAX API.
Go to the MapTP Administration area now and get the two essentials for the use of MapTP Web Services: MapTP ID and URL to the MapTP Web Services. Note that you do not need to make any changes in the administration area unless you want to create an application key for the MapTP AJAX API. Information on how to download PHP 5 SOAP examples can be found at the bottom of this page.
Map Overview
The first page after log on shows the map overview. It shows already the most important information. The MapTP ID is in the table in the first column. These IDs usually have a prefix "WS". The MapTP system is shown in the second line of the second column. In the example below it maptp14.map24.com. This is a Europe map.The complete URL to the Web services demo pages for this system would be: http://maptp14.map24.com/map24/webservices1.5?action=demo
The fourth column in the table shows the application key for the MapTP AJAX API. The list is empty by default. You can create a key on the configuration page. Either double click on the map image (third column) or click the magnifying glass on the far right.
In the menu on the left additional documentation about map management is available. The "My maps" link under "Documentation" opens the following PDF: MapTP Map Management

Map Configuration
The map configuration page (in the map overview either double click on the map image or click the magnifying glass on the far right) summarizes the map information in the upper left table. How to add layers is described in the map management documentation mentioned above. If you want to use the MapTP AJAX API you can create an application key by clicking on the "edit" link in the table AJAX Application Key.
The table at the bottom has a practical applet tag that you can copy and paste into your HTML to show a MapTP Applet in your Web site. Note that the applet tag has your MapTP ID already and refers to the correct MapTP system.

PHP 5 Downloads
The third menu item under Product administration in the MapTP Administration area is called "For developers". From there you can get to a page where you can download the PHP 5 SOAP examples configured for your MapTP ID.
