EMEA Registration Deadline Extended to Nov. 6, 2009

Registration for the LBS Challenge,EMEA Region has been extended to November 6, 2009. A completed solution is not required at the time of registration. The winners of the EMEA Region will be announced on February 14, 2010 prior to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The competition is open to pre-commercialized applications for any platform and any device. Registration deadlines for other regions of the competition are as follows: • North America – November 20, 2009 • India – December 11, 2009 • South America – February 12, 2010 • APAC – March 5, 2010

The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge 2009 is drawing to a close in September, when a global CHAMPION is going to be selected for the first time. Hi, Now that we have completed all the tracts for the 2009 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge, let’s take a look at some of the free apps available right now from current and past LBS Challenge winners. I have collected a list of some of the LBS Challenge participants from the last couple of years that have apps for you to download and use. The apps listed are all available for the Nokia e71 running S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1, which is the phone I have, so I have used these apps and tested them myself.
