Develop with NAVTEQ^® Map Data

NAVTEQ map data is available in multiple formats. Learn more about NAVTEQ map data formats then select samples for review and development here. NAVTEQ offers registered developers two sample data options. You can download a small, local sample clip to review, or you can request download of a larger regional coverage area for evaluation, development and/or demonstration purposes.

1. Download Sample Digital Map Clip

NAVTEQ offers a free sample data clip that can be directly downloaded-clips of both Chicago, Illinois and Paris, France are available in several NAVTEQ formats. These review clips will help you to better understand the structure, format and depth of the NAVTEQ digital map database.

2. Request Download of Digital Map Region

The NAVTEQ Network for Developers offers rich sets of sample map data specifically for developers to evaluate in a broader context, to integrate into a location-enabled application and/or showcase the data as part of demonstrations with the application through a program called Content Stax. Fees are waived for registered developers. You may request one city for download for development. You will be contacted via email for instructions on how to download the sample data.
